Archeology & Material Culture Museum Explore the archeology of New Mexico with exciting exhibits and hands on activities - discover archaeology-excavation through analysis and take a look back in time to America’s first inhabitants. You can also travel a 12,000 year timeline, ending in 1890 at Wounded Knee.

Tour is 1 1/2 -2 hours. Tour and lesson of exhibits inside and then a mock excavation outside. The kids will dig and then bring items into the museum to date them. Cost. $2.50 adults, $3.00 per child No charge for babies. There is a $60. minimum charge so the fee may be more per child or adult to make up the cost. They also have picnic facilities and a playground.
East of Albuquerque. 4 Miles North of I-40 on Highway 14 in Cedar Crest.
