Thanks to many people (especially Shannon and Lisa), we have compiled a huge list of field trips and tours in the Albuquerque area. The list is far from complete, but we're working on it. We have it on our web site at http://www.abqhomeschool.com/tourlist.html.
If you have any new ones to add (or changes to make to the ones listed there) please reply to this thread. Thanks! |

Dignity Memorial® Escape School® is an abduction prevention program that empowers children and parents by providing them with ways to recognize, avoid or escape potentially dangerous situations. Designed to be a catalyst for home-based instruction, parents are encouraged to attend the hour-long presentation with their children so they can reinforce the knowledge that leads to smart choices.
Delivered free of charge by trained Dignity Memorial funeral care professionals, presentations are often requested by community organizations, church groups, scouts and schools. Offered in an entertaining and non-threatening manner, the program teaches children how to differentiate between good and bad strangers, the common lures abductors use, how to "get away, right away" and how to find help when needed. In addition to teaching key concepts, presenters engage children in demonstrations featuring several simple yet highly effective techniques for escaping dangerous situations. http://www.escapeschool.com/esAbout.shtml Rose Mora 505-892-9220 The Daniels Company Rio Rancho, NM 87043
